Welcome to Do Want. I’m Lori, and this blog is basically about things I’m interested in, that I think people should know. Most of the posts will be related to pop culture, particularly beauty and television. I have a BA in International Studies, and I may also use this space to talk about current events and issues. Some issues that will be a common theme in this blog: I’m interested in environmental sustainability, and though I’m no expert, that concern will be present when I talk about other things. I’m also a vegetarian, which may come up when I’m discussing beauty and skincare. I’m a big believer in equality and social justice, and so when I’m talking about consumer products, labor practices will be an issue. A big part of Do Want is that of course I am part of American consumer culture, and I do want things, but to the best of my ability I want to be a thoughtful and responsible consumer.
